The ACT Government is committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families through a coordinated, integrated and evidence-informed service system.

This includes a strong focus on strengthening families, supporting safe and stable environments, and enabling children and young people to thrive.

This grant forms part of the Child, Youth and Family Services Program (CYFSP), which funds services for children, young people and families whose needs are not met through universal services.

This stream focuses on preventative early support services.

Funded services will provide timely, low-intensity support to:

  • identify needs early
  • build skills and resilience
  • strengthen protective factors
  • prevent escalation of challenges

Services are expected to be accessible, flexible and responsive, and to support children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes over time.
