Before commencing an application, please read the 2026 National Multicultural Festival Grants Program Guidelines.

The National Multicultural Festival (the festival) will be held from Friday 6 – Sunday 8 February 2026.

This grant program aims to facilitate community participation in the National Multicultural Festival program and to provide a platform for Australia’s multicultural community to showcase their artistry, customs and traditions. The festival promotes equality, social cohesion and the sharing of culture through music, dance, language, cultural displays, food, and workshops, contributing positively to building a community that respects and celebrates diversity.

Please do not complete this form if you would like to apply as a volunteer performer or professional performer.

  • Volunteer Performers
    Those participating in performances on a volunteer basis as individuals, or within their communities or social group. Performers in this category do not receive any funding to participate. They engage as a hobby and may participate in local festivals, school performances, or other grassroots initiatives.

 

  • Professional Performers
    Individuals or groups who are engaged in an activity as a paid occupation rather than an amateur. Professional performers derive a source of income from their art/craft and will have a dedicated website and ABN to support their business.
